  15. Is there any of you out there who has any experience with ZOOM ComStar 620
  16. Distinctive Ring feature?

  18. I'm using Bitware ver. 3.30.06 from Cheyenne Software.

  20. I use one single phone line with the following 3 options from my phone company:

  22.     - single rings for my main phone number (regular rings).
  23.     - double rings for the interphone at my house entrance.
  24.     - triple rings for my second phone number.
  25.  
  26. I intend to use my modem as follows:

  28.     - my main phone number only for voice calls
  29.     - manual receive for the interphone
  30.     - my second phone number only for fax calls
  31.  
  32. This will normally require the following settings:
  33.  
  34. - Answer Mode: Distinctive Rings.
  35. - Distinctive Ring setup:
  36.     - ring type A voice only.
  37.     - ring type B manual receive.
  38.     - ring type C and D fax only.
  39.  
  40. However, with these settings, no matter how the phone rings, single, double or triple,
  41. my Receive Manager answers and plays the greeting message which I want to be played only
  42. for ring type A(voice calls). What is the most disturbing is that I can not receive any
  43. faxes automatically on my second number (which is intended for this purpose).
  44. I tried different other combination and it seems that the modem is not able to
  45. distinguish among different rings.

  47. Is there any way for this software to distinguish between a fax call and a voice call
  48. and to play the greeting only for a voice call?

  50. Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
